I am a carpenter by trade and have always enjoyed working with wood.....that all started when I was very little, helping my father in his workshop. I use only the finest sourced exotic woods from reputable suppliers in Canada who bring wood species in from all over the world. Some of these include Black Ebony, Rosewood, Marble Wood, Chatke-kok, Cocobolo, Katalox, Mun Ebony, among many others. I believe that if mother nature can spend 80 years creating beauty, I can take a few hours to show it off.... and that is where I find pleasure.
I use many types of rare and exotic woods for my pieces. Each piece is chosen based on intricate features within the grains and considering how I can display that feature when finished. I then mount it on my lathe and start letting the magic appear. After they are shaped, they are sanded down to a 3000 grit sandpaper so they are extremely smooth after which they are finished with 3 applications of food grade Beeswax and Mineral Oil blend for extra shine and protection, they are then ready to be enjoyed.
I create pieces you will enjoy for years to come. Each piece is finished with a food grade Beeswax blend that will keep the wood protected and beautiful for a lifetime. What I create is a piece of art that will add to your collection of wines and spirits as well as vinegars and oils. My bowls and boards are useable pieces of art to be enjoyed and displayed. Never put an item into a dishwasher. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a towel. All of my work is finished with Clapham‘s Beeswax...(available in my store). I recommend a fresh application occasionally to keep the wood looking beautiful.
